WSH Coordinator

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager to identify and assess risks arising from the workplace.
  • Conduct site safety inspection and enforce compliance on prevailing MOM Safety Acts and Regulations.
  • Conduct Safety Committee meetings, organize safety events, and etc.
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings to highlight safety issues.
  • Supervise and attend to all issues related to workplace safety, health and environmental control.
  • Ensure all documentation / permits / licenses related to workplace safety, health and environmental control required by authorities and management are kept in order.
  • Assist in the implementation and continual review of WSHMS (Workplace Safety & Health Management System), IMS (Integrated Management System), EMS (Environmental Management System), Fall Prevention Plan, Lifting Plan, etc.
  • Assist in Internal Audit for improvement program and maintaining the company’s IMS as sustaining the ISO45001 & ISO14001 certification.
  • Participate in external audit and company management meeting.
  • Assist in conducting periodic WSH cross inspection for all sites to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Assist in conducting safety training / briefing such as familiarization on Risk Management’s standardize procedures to the respective site team to ensure safety awareness that the operations are safe and in compliance with statutory regulations and international standards / practices.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum O-levels or post-secondary academic qualifications
  • Any equivalent professional academic qualification related to Environment, Health & Safety
  • 3 years or more in engineering or construction environment
  • Work-At-Height Assessor certification
  • Risk Management (Bizsafe Level 2) certification
  • Confined Space Assessor certification
  • Lifting Supervisor certification
